Reiki for Independent Living

Individual sessions and classes in all three levels in the Usui Shiki Ryoho system of Reiki are available.  In addition to classes for the public, specialized classes are also offered for occupational therapy practitioners for continuing education professional development units.  Classes and sessions are held in Palmerton, Pennsylvania. To allow for personalized attention in learning this unique energy healing modality, class size is limited to 4 students per class. Classes are taught on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (both days).

I have been practicing Reiki since 1997.  In addition to being a Reiki Master/Teacher, I have also been trained in reflexology, qigong instructor, hypnotherapy, raindrop therapy, ear candling, and am a certified occupational therapy assistant.  My published articles include:  Reiki in Occupational Therapy (Reiki News Magazine Summer 2004), Treating Outside the Box (Advance for Occupational Therapy, November 5, 2013), Stepping into the Role of Holistic OT (HolisticOT.org 2014).

Presentations include: “Integrative Medicine in Occupational Therapy” – POTA District VI Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, “Integrative Medicine in Rehabilitation” – 4th Annual Social Worker Conference, East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. I have also done informational Reiki presentations/sample sessions at libraries, support groups, colleges, wellness fairs, dialysis center and community organizations.

Professional Memberships: International Hypnosis Federation, Reiki Healing Association, International Association of Reiki Professionals, The International Center for Reiki Training Reiki Membership Association Affiliate Member, National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT), American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
